Gary has held directorships and senior Engineering positions for both consultants and contractors in the Middle East and the United Kingdom. He has been in the UAE for 12 years. He is the Managing Director of JPW Group and is responsible for all assignments in the UAE and MENA Region.
Gary specialises in the Sustainable Design (water and energy efficiency waste management and emission control) of mechanical, electrical and public health systems; and their full integration with the building and its sub systems, through to operational readiness.
He has extensive practical experience in the design and implementation of critical environment systems
, in conjunction with electronic control and data acquisition (BMS, iBMS, CAFM, Fire Detection & Security). He has experience in hospitals/healthcare, air traffic environments, data centres, high-rise and clean/sterile environments.
As a specialist in the design, operations and strategies supporting critical environments, Gary holds an Honours Degree in Environmental Engineering and is a Chartered Engineer.
Gary has over 30 years' experience in the design and implementation of infrastructure projects supporting operationally critical commercial and industrial environments. He was Contract Administrator for the completion of the construction programme for the UK's new Air Traffic Control Centre at Swanwick. He is a specialist in the transition from construction to operations with the review of engineering systems and establishing their suitability for operation, providing solutions for operationally deficient systems.
Gary's experience includes a number of iconic international projects, such as Qatar Foundation Headquarters, Burj Khalifa, Cleveland Clinic, Healthpoint Hospital, Bahrain Financial Harbour, Dubai Mall and the Canary Wharf Development.
Gary has spent over 12 years working in the Middle East, including projects in Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain and the UAE, where he was responsible for providing consultancy services to major developers and clients with particular emphasis on sustainable design, the reduction in energy and water consumption and the sustainable management of waste.
